UpperBags was born in the bustling streets of New York City — in the moment our founder, a tired new dad on a packed subway, watched his wife juggle a crying baby, a stroller, and a sagging diaper bag. There had to be a better way.

We launched in 2018 with a simple belief: parenting is hard, but your bag shouldn’t make it harder. It should lighten your load — literally and emotionally. So we set out to redesign the diaper bag based on what real parents asked for: more function, less stress, and a style anyone would be proud to carry.

But now, in 2025, UpperBags has grown into something more.

We still exist to empower modern parents — to help you feel lighter, live easier, and get back to what matters most. But now, we’re also driven by purpose: to help families living out a calling greater than themselves.

We may not be able to clear plastic from the ocean, or stop deforestation. But we can start by supporting one family on the front lines — one bag at a time.

With every UpperBag sold, we give back. We now dedicate 10% of profits annually to families in real, physical need— covering basics like housing, food, and living expenses for their children — so they can focus on their mission without the fear of daily survival. In some seasons, we’ll give up to 50% to help launch families who are just starting out in faith and need a boost to get going.

You don’t have to be called to the field to be part of this mission. Whether you carry the bag, gift it at a baby shower, or just share our story — you’re helping fuel a bigger purpose.
